The Department of Computer Science is seeking to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in computer systems and their applications, beginning fall 2022. Computer systems support a broad range of applications and technologies that seamlessly integrate with human users and are embedded in the backbones of our entire society. The scope of computer systems includes, but not limited to: embedded and multicore systems and accelerators (e.g., FPGA and GPU); mobile and extensible distributed systems; cloud and data-intensive processing systems; and memory, storage, and file systems; and machine learning libraries that let non-specialists leverage the power of computer-assisted decision making.

Assistant Professor: Software Engineering

The Department of Computer Science is seeking to hire a tenure-track assistant professor, beginning fall 2022. Strong candidates in all fields of computer science will be considered, with a particular emphasis on software engineering. Candidates are expected to teach core computer science courses such as software engineering, introduction to software systems, software design and construction, management of software development, programming languages, data structures and algorithms, database management systems, and advanced graduate/undergraduate courses in the candidates’ expertise. Candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. A strong record of scholarship is required. Candidates are expected to establish and grow an externally funded research program. Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to diversity are encouraged to apply.
