SDSU Computer Science Program Mission Statement
The mission of the SDSU CS undergraduate program is to provide students a broad background in computer science theory and state-of-the-practice experiences that will enable them to pursue high technology careers and higher-level education goals. Students are expected to gain analytical and problem-solving skills, software design and programming skills, as well as effective writing and presentation skills needed to work in a collaborative computer science environment.
Work in a field where they integrate and apply key principles and practices of computing.
Utilize and apply communication tools effectively, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, management, and team members in a field requiring computing.
Work in high-technology companies that utilize their computing education.
Pursue advanced studies in Computer Science or a closely related field that requires computing knowledge.
