Dr. Tao Xie joined the Department of Computer Science faculty at San Diego State University in August 2006. His research interests are storage systems, high performance computing, parallel and distributed systems, and real-time/embedded systems. He has published papers in top journals and prestigious conferences such as the IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, ACM Transactions on Storage, CCGrid10, ICDCS09, IPDPS08, MASCOTS08, and HiPC08. In September 2009, he received NSF CAREER Award for the project CAREER: Architectural Support for Integrating NAND Flash Solid State Disks into Enterprise-Class Storage Systems.
