Congratulations go out to Christopher Tooley for being named the most outstanding graduate of 2011 for the Computer Science Department. Christopher entered SDSU in 2009 and was immediately recognized as an outstanding CS major.  He has gotten a full time job at Northrop Grumman doing Android work as well as security enhancements for the software that flies on some of the Global Hawk surveillance planes in their BACN program.  Christopher gives a word of advice to his fellow CS majors “pay attention to security and simplicity – there is a ton of work in this area and not a lot of existing talent.”  We wish Christopher all the success in his future endeavors.

Christopher chose Dr. Carroll as his most influential faculty member.  He had Dr. Carroll for three classes and found him to be an extremely effective teacher.  “He always has time for his students, gives helpful, not pat, assistance, grades papers and exams like lightening, dedicates ample class time to questions, assigns projects and homework consistent with the exams, etc., etc., etc..”
